The first step to fixing a tire is to remove the spare from your car. Also set up an emergency reflector if you have you. You could also activate your hazard lights. Next, loosen the nuts on the hub cap on the flat tire. This will allow you to remove the hub cap. After that, loosen the lug nuts by turning counter clockwise. Now you should jack up the car. Now you can finally remove the flat tire. Once the flat tire is removed, center the spare tire on the wheel. Then, re-install and tighten the lug nuts. You will have to tighten them by screwing clockwise. Lastly, let the jack down slowly. Now you can drive with confidence, knowing how to change your flat tires.
