Going to an auto dealership to pick out a new car can be an entirely exhilarating experience. There are so many choices, from used card to used trucks to a stage 1 roush mustang. The possibilities are nearly endless, and it can be difficult to decide which car to purchase and make your own. You want a car that suits your personality, that is aesthetically pleasing as well as safe and is appropriate for your needs and typical car usage. Even aside from brand and type of car, you have to decide between new and used, considering the benefits of both before making a final decision.

Buying a used car, be in a ford truck or a stage 1 roush mustang, is becoming and more and more popular option. Pre-owned vehicle sales reached over 2 and a half million units in 2015 alone. In 2016, it reached 2.6 million sales, continuing to climb. And car dealership sales don’t even represent the total number of used cars that exchange owners. Between car dealerships and private transactions, it’s estimated that at least 40,000 used cars changed ownership in just one year.

With better and better upkeep, salvaging, and care, used cars have longer lifespans than ever before. In fact, it’s been estimated that millions of vehicles (around 20 million) will have been around and on the road for twenty five years or more. Surveys have also shown that a typical car is owned by three different people in its lifetime.

Aside (and sometimes alongside) used car sales, sales for light trucks has also been consistently on the rise, increasing by 7% in 2016 alone. Over half of vehicles sold (just over 60%) were light trucks, compared to around 30% for the more traditional car. A light truck or gently used car can be the perfect vehicle for families looking to road trip (as most families do – a whopping near 70% of them). For light trucks particularly, registrations have skyrocketed, reaching over 250 million in 2016.

Whether you decide you want a used or new car, a light truck or a stage 1 roush mustang, fancy or functional or both, it’s important to find the car that’s right for you.
